Gilson JCC Early Learning Center, Sharon
The Gilson JCC Early Learning Center (ELC) Summer Program in Sharon provides a safe, nurturing environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of young children, according to NAEYC’s “Criteria for High-Quality Early Childhood Program” standards.
We offer a broad range of carefully designed, age-appropriate activities. Each activity is led by knowledgeable, supportive staff members, who meet the MA Department of Early Education and Care qualifications.
The JCC is open to all regardless of race, religion, cultural heritage, political beliefs, marital status, national or ethnic origin, sexual orientation or disability.
Lunch
Children are asked to bring a dairy or vegetarian lunch. Kosher snacks will be provided mid morning and mid afternoon. Most snacks are typically a combination of crackers and fruit or vegetables. We provide an allergy-aware and nut-sensitive environment.
Jewish Life
The Gilson JCC ELC in Sharon at Temple Sinai integrates Jewish values and culture into our child-centered curriculum and nurtures children and embraces families by creating a caring community rooted in Jewish values and traditions.
Each Friday, children celebrate Shabbat with candle lighting, blessings, songs, challah (bread) and grape juice. Throughout the year, we celebrate Jewish holidays, as well as the life cycle events of our children's families.
